Yesterday in as I walking through the LAB, I noticed a flyer for a TOMS club on campus. Now I gotta tell ya' I love TOMS. For those of you who don't know, TOMS is a shoe company with a heart. For every pair of TOMS sold, they donate one pair of new shoes to a child without shoes. It's a great example of one person setting out to make a difference and accomplishing that goal. Anyway, I wondered to myself what a TOMS Club might actually do, besides talk about how awesome TOMS are. So, I headed on over to toms.com. to see what was up. Apparently, April 8, is One Day Without Shoes and USM is hosting an event to raise awareness about the effects of being barefoot for children in developing nations.
